Not only did they have more players there for longer than last week but they got more runs as well. They mustered a massive 55 all out compared to a moderate 48 all out the week before. Extras (14), Matt Colban (14) and Sam Spencer (11) were the heroes.
Purbrook used three wicket-keepers during the brief U.S. reply. Matt Colban departed to have a damaged finger X-rayed and Ian Budd took over. His enthusiasm was dampened when a ball from Ben Jones lodged between his visor and his helmet and left him seeing stars. Peter Middleton, who kept trying to leave the pitch early to go to a party, took over and survived relatively unscathed. Somewhere along the line Tom Jones hobbled off with a bad back.
In between all the carnage, Ben Jones took two good wickets but U.S. cruised to victory in less than 10 overs.
