D.Copeman(54) and N.Raymond(39) put on 94 for the next wicket and at that point Locks Heath looked set for an enormous total.
However Purbrook fought back through Haran (3-24) and limited Locks Heath to a more respectable 161 for 7.
Sean Figgins (31) took the attack to Locks Heath and it looked briefly as if Purbrook might get close to the target.
However, wickets fell steadily and Purbrook were eventually limited to 111 for 9.
The highlight of the lower order was the 9th wicket stand between Peter Mill (17no) and Matt Burnett (4no).
