Sunday 2nd XI v Zombies 20 May 2001.

Purbrook Heath was playable at last on Sunday and Purbrook took on Zombies on a very soft wicket.

Zombies won the toss and inserted Purbrook who quickly sunk to 8 for 2. This brought Graham McCoy to the crease.

The next wicket fell at 202. Graham and Grant Woolley (44no) put on 186 in dramatic style. Graham McCoy's 151 included 13 sixes (including several lost balls) and 9 fours.

Purbrook reached 214 for 3 in their 40 overs. All the wickets were taken by Fenton (3-29).

Zombies were always behind the clock, although Bulled (22), Jones (33) and Robinson (27) made a fight of it. There was also dogged resistance from Bill Hindley (12no).

Zombies reached 111 for 7 in their 40 overs. The wickets were taken by Berry (4-25), Repsold (2-14) and Cragg (1-22).

Good win for Purbrook.
