Purbrook batted first and Matt Colban (3) had his stumps re-arranged by Scott to bring Carl Marsh and Jack May together.
Carl Marsh continued from where he left off last time and clocked up another lively and undefeated 21 runs. He was always looking to score and would of retired much earlier if his partner had been paying more attention. On two or three occasions he played the ball into a gap and looked to run, only to find that Jack had turned his back and wasn't taking any interest in the game at all.
Jack May took 10 overs to reach 5 runs and only a spurt near the end took him to 14 before he was run out in the 11th over.
The other batsmen didn't have much chance to contribute. Ben Pay opened his account for the club to reach 3 not out. Khalid Alfasi was run out on his debut. Jared Carter could bat much higher up the order if he would only arrive on time.
Purbrook closed on 103 for 3.
Purbrook started brightly with Matt Colban (3-17-0) limiting Sarisbury to 1 off the first over. Jared Carter (3-23-0) and Ben Pay (2-12-0) bowled very tightly , Khalid Alfasi (2-28-0) and Jack May (2-22-1) took slightly more punishment.
However, Purbrook were let down by bad fielding from the "star" players. At least five fours were given away due to "non-attempts" in the field by these players. The other four players gave 100%.
The result was that steady batting from Dowland (20 no) and Johansen (20 no) took Sarisbury to 97 for 1 off 11 overs. Sarisbury drew level off the fourth ball of the last over. The fifth ball was a dot and Scott pushed the last ball against the off-side wall to seal the victory.
Sarisbury 21 points, Purbrook 4 points.
