Purbrook II chalked up their second win in succession
on Saturday 26.5.2001, defeating Oakley by 75 runs.
Having been put into bat, Purbrook scored 203 - 7, the first time
they had achieved maximum batting points since June 19 1999.
The star of the show was Trevor Pay, who made an extremely
entertaining and fluent 90, from 85 balls in 92 minutes,
including 13 fours and 2 sixes. In reply, Oakley never
really got going and were all out for 128 in the 37th over.
All the Purbrook bowlers contributed, with Mike Burrows taking
4 - 39, Nielson Wallis 3 - 26, Dave Martin 2 - 23 and
Wyman Babbage 1 - 23. The result also meant maximum points
for Purbrook.
