On Saturday June 23, Purbrook II played Appleshaw, away. They won the toss
and decided to bat first. After a slightly wobbly start, Trevor Pay and
Richard Nichol got it together and put on 82 for the third wicket, making 45
and 43 respectively. However, it all went a bit pear shaped after that and
Purbrook could only manage 169-9 in their 45 overs.
In reply, Appleshaw made short work of getting the runs, knocking them off
for 3 wickets in s5.3 overs.
